Fantastic Friday!

Today our daily schedule was a little different because of our first school run of Christmas concert rehearsals.  We started the day with our spelling test, a blend ss printing activity and Show & Share before first recess.  The SK's had French, Gym and Music and ended the day watching a space movie with the other SK classes as a treat!

Reminders:
-Report cards are going home today, I have sent them home in each child's agenda bag.
-Student led conferences (meet with the teacher) will take place on Thursday, December 6th.  It is not mandatory, only if you would like to meet with me with any concerns or questions.
-Christmas Concert will be held on Tuesday, December 11th, more info will be sent by email soon.

Terrific Thursday!

Just a reminder to parents that tomorrow report cards and graphs will be going home.  I am also having some technical difficulties with my phone, so I am not able to transfer photos to my computer.

Inquiry into Language
The SK's practiced the sound and formation of the blend sound ss. The students had turns sounding out and spelling out short ss blend words.  The students worked on a word search with partners as well.

Gym
Ms. Yustin had the students continued exploring gymnastics and yoga!

French

UOI
We continued our Space unit and focused our learning about the planets Mercury and Venus and finished our art activity.

The SK's were engaged in Literacy Centers today, with books and puzzles.

Math
The students worked on their Addition pre-test.

Inquiry into Language
The SK's practiced the sound and formation of the blend sound ss. The students had turns sounding out and reading words that end with the ss blend.  The students worked on their printing skills in their Journals, some students have began trying to print sentences on their own.

Gym
Ms. Yustin had the students continued exploring gymnastics and yoga!

French

UOI
We continued our Space unit and focused our learning about the planets Mercury and Venus.  The students listened to a read a loud story that taught them more about both planets and worked on an art activity.  We also discussed the Mars landing that happened earlier this week!  I showed them a video and we had a sharing circle.

The SK's practiced the sound and formation of the letter Jj. -To prepare for the upcoming Christmas Concert, I would like parents to begin purchasing a pair of reindeer antlers for their child (costume for the Christmas Concert).  Students are also going to be wearing black/ brown clothing for the concert.

Fantastic Friday!

I am finishing up report cards, it will be sent home with Language & Math graphs next week Friday, November 30th.  We did not get a chance to have Library today, Mrs. Hayward filled in for Mrs. Gray today.  The students also did a great job presenting their Show & Share for the letter Ll and blend ll.
