Windy Tuesday!


Inquiry into Language
The SK's practiced the sound and formation of the letter Jj. The students each had a turn to print both upper & lower case letter Jj on the board and worked in their Printing booklets.  The students worked on an activity sheet with partners and practiced make up simple sentences.  Here is the link to the Jolly Phonics Letter Jj song:Jolly Phonics letter Jj

Gym
Ms. Yustin had the students continued exploring gymnastics and yoga!

French
Mlle. Hou taught the students the five senses vocabulary in French.  Her is the link to her website: http://mllehousja.blogspot.ca/

UOI
We continued our Space unit and focused our learning about the sun.  Today the students listened to a read a loud about the sun.  We worked on an art activity, using paper plates, pastel crayons, paint and forks to create a sun art piece.

Daily 5
The SK's were engaged in Literacy Centers today, with books and puzzles.

Math
The students continued to review for the test on Wednesday.  The students were engaged with a tally and graphing activity.  The SK's worked in partners to complete the activity.

Reminders: 
-Data Management test: Wednesday, November 28th.
-Bake Sale: November 27th & 28th.
-Dress down day: Wednesday, November 28th.
-To prepare for the upcoming Christmas Concert, I would like parents to begin purchasing a pair of reindeer antlers for their child (costume for the Christmas Concert).  Students are also going to be wearing black/ brown clothing for the concert.
-Spelling test for the month of November: Friday, November 30th.
-Report Cards will be going home on Friday, November 30th.
