Terrific Tuesday!


Language
The students reviewed the formation and sound of the blend sound CK.  The students practiced printing upper and lower case blend sound CK and circled short CK words with an activity sheet.  We enjoyed exploring a search and find game using CK word picture cards.  Each of the students had the opportunity to find a card hidden in the classroom and practiced spelling the word.

Unit of Inquiry
The students continued their pumpkin investigation today!  We explored the inside of the pumpkin and made a hypothesis about how many seeds were in the pumpkin.  The students also had the opportunity to touch and feel the inside of the pumpkin and record their observations in their booklets.

Math
The SK's continued learning more about Patterns!  The SK's worked in groups with manipulatives to show their understanding of AB patterns.  They also worked on an activity sheet and had to complete the AB patterns drawing with shapes and colours.
