Thankful Tuesday!

The students enjoyed eating the popcorn they  had purchased for the Fall Fundraiser today!  We also had so much fun with another assembly to congratulate today's top student, who had the opportunity to silly string a teacher of their choice!

Language
The students reviewed the formation and sound of the letter Ii.  The students practiced printing upper and lower case letter Ii and circled short Ii words with an activity sheet.  We enjoyed exploring a search and find game using Ii word picture cards.  Each of the students had the opportunity to find a card hidden in the classroom and practiced spelling the word.

Unit of Inquiry
The students continued to learn more about parts of a plant and the needs of a plant.  We brainstormed our ideas on the board and the students worked independently with a cut and paste activity that also challenged the students to categorize words under parts of a plant and needs of a plant.

Math
The SK's worked again on estimation, we worked together on the carpet and the students had to estimate how many red or green apples were in a bag.  We worked with manipulatives and practiced what we learned in our Math books.
