Marvelous Monday!

We had so much fun dressed in our PJ's today!  We will continue Fall Fundraiser activities this week and every day we will choose one student who has brought in the most money will win a prize!

Language
The students practiced the formation and sound of the letter Ii.  The students practiced printing upper and lower case letter Ii and short words that begin with the letter Ii in their printing books.  We also enjoyed an eye spy game, finding pictures in our large Jolly Phonics book, that begins with the letter Ii.

Unit of Inquiry
We reviewed what we learned about last week about the foods we eat and drink that come from cows/farm animals.  Today the students were engaged in a guessing game about Parts of a Plant.  The students showed me their prior knowledge about parts of a plant with a large diagram, then each student had to match the correct label to parts of a plant with a cutting and pasting activity.

Math
The SK's focused on estimating numbers from 1 to 20, using manipulatives and working in their Math books.
