Language
The students practiced the formation and sound of the letter S.  The students practiced printing upper and lower case letter S and short words that begin with the letter S in their printing books.  We also enjoyed an eye spy game, finding pictures in our large Jolly Phonics book, that begins with the letter S.

Unit of Inquiry
The students listen to a read a loud story, The Little Red Hen that introduced the students to the process of how wheat turns into foods that we eat.  The students were challenged to practice their sequencing skills and had to cut and paste pictures in the order of the story.

Math
The SK's reviewed the formation, spelling and value of the numbers 1 to 4 with a game and activity sheets.
