We started our morning with an Open Minded Awards ceremony, congratulations to the winners! We also had a few students present their Show and Share for the blend sounds ur and ow.
Inquiry into Language
The SK's reviewed the two different ow sounds and we wrote down words on the board, they also worked with partners with an ow cutting and pasting activity sheet.

UOI
We continued our UOI on Community Helpers! The students watched a video about the role of a police officer and how they help in the community. The SK's also worked on a role play activity and created their own police officer hats and badges. The students practiced their sentence printing skills with a police officer themed writing activity.
Daily 5
The students were engaged in Literacy Centers with partners today.
Math
The SK's continued learning more about place value (ones and tens). They worked in groups and were asked to show the value of tens using the snap cubes and also showed their understanding with an activity sheet.
