Inquiry into Language
The students presented their poems to all the SK classes today and worked on the formation and sound of the blend ar.  The students worked with partners to determine which ar words were "real" or "nonsense" words.  The SK's also worked on their sentence printing skills with a "My FAmily" writing activity.  Here is the song:ar song

Gym
Ms. Yustin was away today, we were engaged with gross motor activities with watching Go Noodle in class.

UOI
We started a new unit today that was focused on Community Helpers!  We watched a video (Emily Young Goes to the Post Office) and shared some of the things we observed in a sharing circle.  The students also created their own mail boxes and wrote messages in postcards to send to each other.

Daily 5
The students were engaged in Literacy Centers with partners today.

Math
The SK's reviewed what they learned about time by the hour and half hour to prepare for the test on Friday.

Music

Reminders:
-The school will be closed for a PD day and Family day on February 15th & 18th.
-Math Time test is on Friday, February 22nd.
-Bake Sale: February 26th & 27th.
-Spelling test is on Thursday, February 28th.
-Anti bullying day is on February 28th, students may come to school wearing pink.

-Pancake Day is on March 5th.
