The sun came for Tuesday!

Inquiry into Language
The SK's practiced the sound and formation of the letter Vv. The students each had a turn printing the upper and lower case letter Vv on the board.  They also practiced on their printing skills in the printing booklets and worked with a partner with an activity sheet.  Here is the Jolly Phonics Vv song:Letter Vv song

Gym
Ms. Yustin was back today and they continued their gross motor activities focused on yoga and gymnastics.

French
Mlle. Hou taught the students the five senses vocabulary in French.  Her is the link to her website: http://mllehousja.blogspot.ca/

UOI
We continued our Space unit and focused our learning about the planet Mars. The students listened to a read aloud about Mars and worked on an art activity using red construction paper, orange tissue paper and glue.

Daily 5
The SK's were engaged in Literacy Centers today, with books and puzzles.

Math
The students continued our Addition unit.  We reviewed what we learned yesterday about the different ways to show our understanding and worked on single digit addition equations using Smarties chocolate as manipulatives.

Reminders:
-Parent & Teacher interviews take place on Thursday, December 6th.  It is not mandatory.
-Primary Christmas concert is on Tuesday, December 11th at 6:30 pm, there is also an afternoon concert at 1:30 pm.
-Bake Sale & Casual Day: Wednesday, December 19th.
-Christmas Holiday begins on Friday, December 21st.
