Inquiry into Language
The SK's practiced the sound and formation of the letter Vv. The students brainstormed names and words that begin with the letter Vv. They also worked on printing short v words and a sentence in their Journals. Here is the Jolly Phonics Vv song:Letter Vv song
Gym
Ms. Yustin was a way today, instead we were engaged with dancing activities in class.
French

UOI
We continued our Space unit and focused our learning about the planet Earth. The students listened to a read aloud about Earth and worked on an art activity using q-tips and paint.
Daily 5
The SK's were engaged in Literacy Centers today, with books and puzzles.
Math
The students started their new Math unit on Addition. We first shared our ideas and what we already know about Addition and reviewed a chart that showed us the different ways we can show our understand. The SK's worked together on the carpet to answer simple single digit equations using manipulative and worked with partners in their Math books.
