Busy, busy Thursday!

The schedule for today was a little different, due to parent/teacher interviews for all Specialist Teachers, but we still learned a lot and had a lot of fun!
We started our day with practicing our printing skills with the letter Ww in our printing booklets and had each student print and sound out a short word on the board.  They also worked with partners to complete a word search.  For Math, we continued our Addition unit and worked on completing missing numbers from single digit number equations and finding the total.  The students worked with partners and used manipulatives to help them count.  We ended our day listening to a read a loud about the planet Saturn and were engaged with an art activity making our own planet Saturn using pipe cleaners, paper and pastel crayons.
