Inquiry into Language
The SK's practiced the sound and formation of the letter Yy. The students brainstormed names and words that begin with the letter Yy. They also worked on printing short Y words and a sentence in their Journals and used play dough the create the letter Yy. Here is the Jolly Phonics Yy song:letter Y song
Gym
Ms. Yustin was back today and they continued their gross motor activities focused on yoga and gymnastics.
French

UOI
We continued our Space unit and watched Space Dog's with both SK classes and had a sharing circle about what we observed.
Daily 5
The SK's were engaged in Literacy Centers today, with books and puzzles.
Math
The students continued our new Math unit on Addition. The students took turns working on addition equations on the board and worked with partners with a Christmas themed activity sheet.
