Windy Wednesday!

A few of our students were kind enough to share with the class what they and their families do to celebrate Dhawali.  We learned that Dhawali celebrates the Festival of Lights, we celebrate it with family and get to dress up in special clothes and eat special food.

Inquiry into Language
The SK's practiced the sound and formation of the letter Bb. The students practiced their printing lower & upper case letter Bb with an activity sheet and in their Journals.  Here is the link to the Jolly Phonics Letter Bb song:Jolly Phonics Letter Bb

Gym
Ms. Yustin had the students engaged in a variety of gross motor and team building activities.

French
Mlle. Hou taught the students a Remembrance  Day song in French.  Her is the link to her website to see a video of the students singing: http://mllehousja.blogspot.ca/

UOI
We are finishing up our senses unit this week with a sight activity.  The students listened to the story Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? and had to use their sense of sight and hearing to pay attention and remember the order of the characters in the story.  The SK's than had to place the characters in order with an activity sheet.

Music
Mr. Flower taught the students a Remembrance Day song for the assembly next week.

Math
The students continued to review patterning skills to prepare for the test.  We worked on an activity sheet that focused on a variety of patterns that the students had to create.
