Terrific Thursday!

The SK's all did a great job with their Pattern Tests today, I will have them ready and marked for Monday to be signed and handed back.  We will be beginning a new Math and Unit of Inquiry on Monday, we will be learning about Space and Data Management!

Inquiry into Language
The SK's practiced the sound and formation of the letter Bb. The students practiced their printing lower & upper case letter Bb and short words in their Printing Booklets.  Here is the link to the Jolly Phonics Letter Bb song:Jolly Phonics Letter Bb

Ms. Yustin had the students engaged in a variety of gross motor and team building activities.

Mlle. Hou taught the students a Remembrance  Day song in French.  Her is the link to her website to see a video of the students singing:

We are finishing up our senses unit this week with a sight activity.  The students reviewed what we have already learned in a sharing circle and were engaged in a sorting activity sheet.  Students were able to work in groups to sort what pictures belonged under which of the five senses.

The students were engaged in Literacy Centers today.

The students were very focused during their Pattern Test today.

-PD day is on Friday, November 9th, there is not school.  
-World Kindness Day is on November 13th.  Oakwood Academy will be collecting $2 for fundraising, students who donate will be able to dress down on that day.  
-Science Fair is on November 16th, parents may come to visit from 2:30 to 3:15 pm.
-To prepare for the upcoming Christmas Concert, I would like parents to begin purchasing a pair of reindeer antlers for their child (costume for the Christmas Concert).
