Inquiry into Language
The SK's practiced the sound and formation of the letter Ff. The students practiced their printing lower & upper case letter Ff and short words in their Printing Booklets and with an activity sheet. Here is the link to the Jolly Phonics Letter Ff song:Jolly Phonics letter Ff song:
Gym
Ms. Yustin had the students engaged in a variety of gross motor and team building activities.
French

UOI
We began a new unit on Space (Soaring Through Space). Today we first brainstormed what we already know about space and the students each drew a picture of what they thought how space looked like (pre-assessment). We ended watching a video that taught the students about the planets.

The students were engaged in Literacy Centers today.
Math
The students were focused with a Date Management pre-test today.
Reminders:
-World Kindness Day is on November 13th. Oakwood Academy will be collecting $2 for fundraising, students who donate will be able to dress down on that day.
-Science Fair is on November 16th, parents may come to visit from 2:30 to 3:15 pm.-To prepare for the upcoming Christmas Concert, I would like parents to begin purchasing a pair of reindeer antlers for their child (costume for the Christmas Concert). Students are also going to be wearing all brown clothing for the concert.
