Fantastic Friday!

We have some great news to share, our class won the Golden Broom for this week!  The Golden Broom is awarded to the class that has the tidiest cubbies and hallway in the whole school.  I am very proud of our class, who work so hard everyday to keep their cubbies and hallway clean.  I have sent home a review package for the upcoming Patterns Test on Thursday, November 8th.  It is not mandatory, it is practice to assist the students and prepare them for the test.  We will also be reviewing next week.

Inquiry into Language
The SK's practiced the sound and formation of the letter Rr. The students practiced their printing lower & upper case letter Rr and short Rr words in their Printing booklets and with an activity sheet.  Here is the link to the Jolly Phonics Letter Rr song:Jolly Phonics Letter R song:

Mlle. Hou continued to teach the parts of the body vocabulary in French.

Unit of Inquiry
The students continued to learn more about our five senses.  Today we reviewed what we already learned about our five senses with a sharing circle and recorded our ideas in a Five Senses Booklet.

Daily 5
The students explored books with a partner or individually.

Math
The students continued to work on patterning, today we focused on "what comes next?".  The students had to finish a variety of patterns using manipulatives and working in their Math books and activity sheet.
