Terrific Thursday!


We had a few students today that still had to present their Down on the Farm Summative and they both did a great job!

Inquiry into Language
The SK's practiced the sound and formation of the letter Kk, the students also brainstormed words that begin with the letter.  The students practiced their printing short words that begin with the letter Kk in their Journals.  Here is the link to the Jolly Phonics song for the letter Kk: Jolly Phonics Letter Kk song

Gym
Ms. Yustin is back and had the students engaged in a variety of gross motor and team building activities.

French
Mlle. Hou continued to teach the students about farm animals in French.

Unit of Inquiry
We are reviewing our Down on the Farm unit this week.  Today the students reviewed parts of a plant with a memory game and we also drew pictures of different types of foods that come from plants.

Music
The students enjoyed learning new songs with Mr. Flower today.  Mr. Flower's informed me that they will be having a Music test next week, I will ask him for a review sheet that the students can work on.

Math
The students worked on differentiating attributes, using manipulatvies and working in their Math books.

- Students may dress up on Wednesday, October 31st, for Halloween.  There are no masks or weapons allowed.
