Windy Wednesday!

We had another busy day learning and having fun!

Inquiry into Language
The SK's practiced the sound and formation of the letter Cc, the students had a turn to print both upper and lower case Cc on the board and perform the action and song. The students also worked in their letter printing booklets and worked on a search and find worksheet.  Here is the link to the Jolly Phonics song for the letter Cc: Jolly Phonics Letter Cc Song

Gym
Ms. Yustin is back and had the students engaged in a variety of gross motor and team building activities.

French
Mlle. Hou continued to teach the students about farm animals in French.

Unit of Inquiry
We are reviewing our Down on the Farm unit this week.  Today the students reviewed the many foods that we eat that are made from milk and come from cows.  The students had the opportunity to create a variety of foods that come from cows using play dough.

Daily 5
The SK's got to listen to a read a loud story that related to carrots (Down on the Farm unit), the book title is called Creepy Carrots.

Math
The students began their first lesson in the Patterning unit.  We worked on our sorting skills and had to classify different attributes of school items, students had to sort different groups and place them in the correct groups.  The SK's also worked on questions in their Math books.

Reminders:
-Please have library books returned back by Friday for our library day.
-Scholastic book orders are due October 18th.
-End of Unit Review phone calls and emails are this week.
- Students may dress up on Wednesday, October 31st, for Halloween.  There are no masks or weapons allowed.
