Hello SK parents! I have checked all Words of the Week Journals for this week, on Monday I will be sending home the next words of the week. Here is what we did today:
Inquiry into Language
The SK's had a lot of fun with our pancake activity today. We first began with a sequencing activity, with the order of making pancakes. Each student made a booklet to take home. We also each had turns to mix the pancake mix and taste the pancakes we made!
Gym
Ms. Yurin was away today, so Ms. Bancud was in for her.
French
Mlle. Hou continued to teach the students counting in French.
Unit of Inquiry
We reviewed the steps to making pancakes from our sequencing activity and had a lot of fun making and eating the pancakes.
Music
The SK's were engaged with learning music notes and singing songs with Mr. Flower's.
Daily 5
The students enjoyed reading with a partner or to themselves.
Math
We continued to work on five frame, the students used manipulative and worked as a group.
Reminders:
-If you have not already, please return and sign forms: City Church consent, Parent/Student Handbook, Sibling Pick up and After school.
-Welcome Back BBQ is on Thursday, September 20th, from 4-5:30 pm. Everyone is welcomed to the BBQ.
-Uniform shoes: black shoes are to be worn with all navy socks and gym shoes are to be worn with all white socks.
