I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Hello SK parents! I have added the new Words of the Week in each of the Journals.  I have also added the Teacher username and Passcode for Raz kids.  Raz kids is a reading and comprehension website that you can log on too with your child to practice their reading skills.  Each student will begin with level A.  Once I have finished all Language assessments, I will inform each student what level they need to move too if applicable.  I also have the opportunity to check if any students have moved up levels.

We watched a video that showed the student the process of how milk comes from cows to the grocery store.

 outside recess time!
 Learning about 10 frame

International Day is coming upon us again on October 4th, I am open to suggestions as to what country our class should present.  It would also be helpful if there were any parents that would like to help and volunteer.  Please let me know!

The SK's learned more about the sound, formation and short words that begin with the letter t.  The students worked on printing upper/lower case and short words in their printing booklets and Journals.

Mlle. Hou continued to teach the students counting in French.

Unit of Inquiry
The SK's brainstormed and discussed the many types of foods that we eat that comes from cows.  We watched a video that showed the students how milk comes from the cow and the process that occurs that gets it to our homes.  The SK's also were engaged with a matching activity sheet.

Daily 5
The students enjoyed reading with a partner or to themselves.

The SK's were introduced to ten frame today.  We reviewed five frame and explored how it linked to ten frame counting.  The students were engaged with ten frame sheets and manipulative to help them count.  We also worked on adding and taking away one in our Math books.
