Fabulous Friday!

Letters of the week: t and p

Hello SK parents! Thank you to those who were able to make it to the Welcome BBQ yesterday.  It was nice to chat and see everyone enjoying themselves with their families.

Inquiry into Language
The SK's reviewed both letter t & p, with a printing activity and a matching game.

Gym
Ms. Yurin was a way to with the school Golf team, the students had Gym with Ms. Bancud.

French
Mlle. Hou began to teach the students about items around the classroom in French.

Unit of Inquiry
We had  a lot of fun making our own butter today in class!  We watched a video that showed us the steps and we used the materials that we had to make it and taste it!

Daily 5
The students enjoyed Literacy Centers today and were engaged in groups.

Math
The SK's continued to practice representing numbers from 10 to 20, using manipulative and working in our Math books.

 Fara brought in a pencil for Show & Share, she said that it begins with the letter p
 Callum brought in a puzzle
 Finley brought in a Jamaican bobsled for the country, Jamaica that we are learning more about
 Dani brought in a teddy bear for the letter t
 Vivahn and Riya were our weather boy and girl
Dani helped us with calendar today

Reminders:
-Casual Day is on September 26th.
-Terry For Run will take place September 28th, the whole school will participate.  Forms and donations are due September 26th.
-Chudleigh's Apple Farm trip will take place October 15th.  Trip forms are to be sent in by September 28th.  We need at least 3 parent volunteer for the trip, if you are interested please contact me.
-Uniform shoes: black shoes are to be worn with all navy socks and gym shoes are to be worn with all white socks.
-International Day is on October 4th.  If there are any parents that would like to volunteer, please let me know.
