We started our morning with a fun Chinese New Year dragon dance, presented by the grade 2 students!
Inquiry into Language
The students were introduced to the formation and sound of the blend TH. The SK's worked with partners to sound out and spell words that begin and end with TH words as a class on the board and worked on their printing books.
Inquiry into Math
The students continued reviewing single digit subtraction equations and strategies. The students worked with partners using manipulatives and practiced with an activity sheet.
Unit of Inquiry
We continued our Winter theme and worked on a reading comprehension writing activity. The students practiced their reading skills and read a short winter themed sentences and answered questions about what they read.
