Thankful Thursday!

Language
The students practiced the formation and sound of the blend ff. The students practiced printing upper and lower case blend ff and short words that begin with the blend ff in their printing books. We also enjoyed an eye spy game, finding pictures in our large Jolly Phonics book, that begins with the blend ff.

Science Fair
The students did a great job presenting for the judges today!

Unit of Inquiry
The students enjoyed learning more about our Space unit! We had a sharing circle and talked about what we already know the moon and questions we might want answered. The students listened to a read a loud story titled The Moon and learned more about the moon and phases. We acted out the phases of the moon and started our Moon Phase activity.

Math
The SK's continued learning more about Data Management! The students reviewed what we learned about tally and bar graphing yesterday. Today the students worked with partners to answer the question "What is My Favorite Vegetable?" The students had to ask 5 students what their favourite vegetable was and had to complete a bar graph to show their findings. The last step, was to answer the question in sentence form in their Math books.

Central Idea: Farms are providers of many of our daily nutritional needs.
