Terrific Tuesday!

We started our morning with a Guy Fawkes assembly, there were a variety of students chosen to recite the poem and received house points for their houses.

Language
The students practiced the formation and sound of the letter Hh. The students practiced printing upper and lower case letter Hh and short words that begin with the letter Hh in their printing books. We also enjoyed an eye spy game, finding pictures cards around the classroom and spelling each word in front of the class.

Science Fair
The students were introduced to matter and the different sates of matter (solid, liquid and gas). The SK's watched an educational video that explained what matter was and examples of the various states. We explored inside our classroom and looked for things that were the state of solid, liquid and gas. We recorded our observations on the board and reviewed what we wrote.

Math
The SK's continued learning more about Patterns! Today the students practiced completing a variety of patterns with a cutting and pasting activity sheet.

Sharing the Planet:

Central Idea: Farms are providers of many of our daily nutritional needs.

Lines of Inquiry:

· The steps involved in getting food to our tables
