Terrific Tuesday!
I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend and were safe on the roads today.

Language
The students practiced the formation and sound of the letter Ff. The students practiced printing upper and lower case letter Ff and short words that end with the letter Ff in their printing books. We also enjoyed an eye spy game, finding pictures in our large Jolly Phonics book, that end with the letter Ff.

Unit of Inquiry
The students were introduced to our new unit Soaring Through Space! The students listed to a read a loud story titled Zoom, Rocket, Zoom! The SK's shared what they already know about space, the solar system, astronauts, sun, moon, stars, etc. The students also worked on drawing pictures of what they think the solar system looks like as a pre-test.

Science Fair
The students enjoyed continuing to explore their experiment today. We finished writing down our observations and answers in our worksheets and talked about our conclusion and what we found out.

Math
The SK's worked on their Data Management pre-test today for our next Math unit.

Central Idea: Farms are providers of many of our daily nutritional needs.
