Fun Friday!

I would like to congratulate our class with winning the Golden Broom for the second time!  Our friends worked really hard to keep our cubbies and our side of the hallway clean!  The students who presented their Show & Share for the letter Ll and blend sound ll did a great job.

Language
The students practiced their printing and early reading skills with a Search and Find writing activity.  The students had to write down the words that matched pictures around the classroom.  We also reviewed the site words that they found and practiced printing simple sentences using the words we found.

Unit of Inquiry
The students continued learning more about Space!  Today we talked about what we already learned about astronauts, such as what were their jobs were in space.  The students enjoyed watching a video of a Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield and learned more about the everyday daily routines (brush teeth, sleeping, eating).  The SK's also worked on an astronaut art activity.

Math
The SK's continued learning more about Data Management!  The students reviewed and worked on a tally and graphing activity sheet.
