Wonderful Wednesday!

Language
The students practiced the formation and sound of the letter P.  The students practiced printing upper and lower case letter P and short words that begin with the letter P in their printing books.  We also enjoyed an eye spy game, finding pictures in our large Jolly Phonics book, that begins with the letter P.  The students also worked on their journal writing skills and had to make a grocery list in their Journals.

Unit of Inquiry
The students listened to a read a loud titled Farm Animals (National Geographic).  In a sharing circle, the students discussed the different resources we get from cows and worked on a matching activity sheet.

Math
The SK's worked on the value of 0 to 10 with ten frames.  We played a game that challenged the students to fill out each of their own ten frames using wipe boards and markers, I wrote a number on the board and they had to show me using their manipulatives.  They students also showed their understanding with an activity sheet.
