Tremendous Thursday!

We had a few students present their favourite toys for Show & Share today.

Inquiry into Language

The SK's practiced their early reading and comprehension skills with an activity sheet. The students had to sound out and read a short paragraph and answer a few questions that was related to the paragraph.

UOI

The students continued our UOI on Seasons (Summer). The SK's enjoyed creating symmetrical butterflies using bingo dabbers and butterfly stencils.

Daily 5

The students were engaged in Literacy Centers with partners.

Math

The SK's continued our unit in Geometry (2D shapes). The students worked on a cutting and pasting activity, they had to determine which objects matched the correct shape. Today the students focused on the hexagon and octagon shapes.

How We Express Ourselves:

An inquiry into the ways in which we discover and express ideas, feelings, nature, culture, beliefs and values; the ways in which we reflect on, extend and enjoy our creativity; our appreciation of the aesthetic

Central Idea: We can express our feelings & emotions in many different ways throughout the year.

· Why people experience different feelings.

· How our senses allow us to investigate our environment.
