Windy Wednesday!

Inquiry into Language
The SK's practiced the sound and formation of the blend sound ir.  The SK's worked on their printing skills in their booklets and worked with partners with an activity sheet.  The students had to match the ir blend words and fill in the missing letters.

Our class enjoyed exploring the outdoors with the other SK classes, as part of our nature walk for our unit of inquiry (Seasons/Spring).  The students had partners and had to check spring items that they found outdoors, to complete their Spring Nature Hunt.  When we got back, we had a sharing circle and talked about what we observed and wrote sentences in our Journals.

Daily 5
The students were engaged in Literacy Centers with partners.

The SK's continued learning more about Measurement.  The students worked in their math books and worked with partners with a nonstandard unit measuring activity.  The SK's used a variety of materials as measuring tools and recorded their finding in their math books.

Ms. McMillan was away today, we continued practicing our song for Arts Night.
