We made it to Friday! Yay!

We started our day with a few Show & Share presentations, the students did a great job talking about the blend sound ai.  We did not have French class due too Mlle. Hou covering for Ms. King's class.  The SK's ended their day visiting the Book Fair.

Inquiry into Language/UOI
We combined our UOI unit with our language today.  The students worked on sentence writing using "word bank" winter themed words.  We brainstormed together as a class, creating simple sentences and using the words provided.  I also encouraged the students to create their own sentences.

Daily 5
The students were engaged in Literacy Centers with partners today and Reading Buddies with the grade 4 class.

The SK's continued practicing their time by the hour recognition and printing skills.  We started by engaging with the Splat game we played yesterday, the students were excited to do it again.  They also worked with partners to complete an activity sheet.  The students had to draw both the minute (big) hand and the hour (small) hand on each clock that matches the time provided.

-Due to the short week because of the unsafe weather, the Book Fair will be extended to Monday, February 11th.
-On Monday, February 11th, students may come dressed as their favorite fantasy or book character to help celebrate the theme of the Book Fair.  If students would like to participate, they must bring in $2.
