Year a Head Day!

We had a lot of fun and learned a lot being an SK today!  The students did a great job following the SK routine and showing how well they can listen in the class.

Inquiry into Language
To get to know the students better, we had a fun game with the alphabet ball.  The students had to pass the ball around and when each student caught the ball, they had too say their name, the letter it begins with and find it on the alphabet ball.  We also practiced the formation of each beginning letter of our names using play dough.

Gym
Ms. Yustin continued their gross motor activities focused on yoga and gymnastics.

French
Mlle. Hou taught the students winter themed vocabulary in French.  Her is the link to her website: http://mllehousja.blogspot.ca/

UOI
The SK's enjoyed listening to a read a loud story titled Frosty's Friends, and created their own snowman or snowlady using construction paper and crayons.

Daily 5
The students were engaged in Literacy Centers, with books and puzzles.

Math
The students practiced their number recognition skills, numbers from 1 to 10 using manipulatives and worked with partners with a counting activity sheet.

We had a great day!
