Hello SK parents!

Letters of the week: Gg & Oo

We enjoyed the presentation from the Dairy Farmers of Ontario today, the students were engaged and got to apply a lot of what they have already learned to the activities that were presented.  Just a reminder to parents that the Math Review package sent home is not mandatory, it is practice to prepare for Friday, October 12th, Math Test.  The practice sheets are taken from our Math booklet and are review sheets for what the students have already learned.  We are also reviewing the same content at school, there will be no surprises for the students!  I am confident that they will all do well!

Inquiry into Language
The SK's had the opportunity to print the letter Gg on the board and brainstormed short words that bagin with the letter Gg.  The Students also practiced printing a list of 3 words or more in their Journals.

Gym
Ms. Yustin is away this week, Ms. Bancud will be in for her all week.

French
Mlle. Hou continued to teach the students about farm animals in French.

Unit of Inquiry
We listened and were engaged with the Dairy Farmers of Ontario presentation today.  The students reviewed where our food comes from, what foods are from a plant or animal and also got to milk a pretend cow!

Daily 5
The students practiced sounding out short words that they found in books that they were familiar .

Math
All week we will be reviewing what we have already learned to prepare us for the Numbers Relations Test on Friday.

Reminders:
-Chudleigh's Apple Farm trip will take place October 15th.  Students are to wear gym clothes on that day.
-Friday, October 5th  and Monday, October 8th, the school will be closed.
-Summative Assignment Presentations are due and will take place on Thursday, October 11th and Friday, October 12th.
-Number Relations Test will take place on Friday, October 12th.  Review packages are going home today, it is not mandatory.  We will be reviewing at school as well.
