Talkative Thursday!

We had our best smiles for Picture Day! We also celebrated Noorah's birthday today!

Inquiry into Language
The SK's practiced the sound and formation of the letter Ee, the students each had the opportunity to sing the song in front of the class.  The students practiced their printing lower & upper case letter Ee and short Ee words.   Here is the link to the Jolly Phonics Letter Ee song:Jolly Phonics Letter Ee song

Gym
Ms. Yustin had the students engaged in a variety of gross motor and team building activities.

French
Mlle. Hou continued to teach the students about farm animals in French.

Unit of Inquiry
The students had a lot of fun exploring the fall weather outside today!  We went outside in partners with our own paper bags to find a variety of leaves to bring back for our art activity tomorrow.  We had a sharing circle to discuss what kinds of fall things we observed outside.

Daily 5
The Sk's were engaged in Literacy Centers, using manipulatives and books to explore.


Math
The students continued to work on patterning, today we focused on AABB pattern.  The students had to create patterns using manipulatives as a group.  We also showed our understanding with an activity sheet.

Reminders:
-Spelling test is on Friday, October 26th.
-Casual Day and Bake Sale are on Tuesday, October 30th.
-Spirit/Halloween Day students can dress up in their costumes, please no masks and weapons.
