I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Letters of the week: s & a

Even though it was raining outside today, we were still all engaged with lots of activities and school work.
Language: We began our Jolly Phonics program with the letter S, the SK's learned a new song that focused on the letter sound.  We brainstormed words that began with the letter and worked on our printing and and identification skills with a journal sheet.
UOI- The SK's learned more about the things that we eat and how they come from the farm to our plates.  We listened to the story The Little Red Hen and participated in a sequencing activity that taught the student about how wheat grow.
Math-We had a lot of fun learning about numbers in different arrangements.  The students worked using manipulative as  a class and then individually in their Math Makes Sense booklets.

We will beginning our Homework program this week.  Each student will go home with a Words of the Week Journal in their agendas, as well as the words.  Please remember to send the Words of the Week Journal back on Friday.  The Monthly spelling test words are also in the agenda, which will take place every month at the end of the month.  Every Friday, we will have a class Show and Share!  This week it will be Elijah, Noah, Marco and Riya.  The focus for Show and Share is for the students to being in an item that begins with the letters of the week (s or a).
