We started our morning with our Open Minded awards for the month of February, congratulations to all the winners! The students also enjoyed Reading Buddies with the grade 4 students.
Inquiry into Language
The students practiced the formation and sound of the blend OW. The students reviewed both sounds that the blend OW makes and brainstormed short words on the board. The SK's also practiced printing in their printing booklets.
Inquiry into Math
The students continued reviewing more about time by the hour and half hour. The students worked with partners on a cutting and pasting activity and had to match the correct digital time to the analog clock.
Unit of Inquiry
The students continued learning more about Community Helpers. The students brainstormed what they already know about firefighters and watched a video. We worked on an art activity, creating our own firefighter hats and the students enjoyed role playing in groups.
