Marvelous Monday!

We had one more student to present their planet for their Soaring Through Space presentation, we also went to visit Ms. Hughes grade 2 class for their gallery.

Inquiry into Language
The students were introduced to the formation and sound of the blend IGH.  The SK's worked with partners to sound out and spell words that begin and end with IGH words as a class on the board and worked on their printing books.

Inquiry into Math
The students continued learning more about single digit subtraction equations and strategies.  The students worked with partners using manipulatives and practiced in their Math books.

Unit of Inquiry
We continued out Winter theme and brainstormed ideas to complete the sentence: "My snowman melted because..."  The students completed the sentence with a writing activity and used a variety of art materials to create their melted snowmen.
