Thankful Tuesday!

The students were excited to get their pictures taken today for Picture Day!

Language
The students reviewed the formation and sound of the letter Uu.  The students practiced printing upper and lower case letter Uu and circled short Uu words with an activity sheet.  We enjoyed exploring a search and find game using Uu word picture cards.  Each of the students had the opportunity to find a card hidden in the classroom and practiced spelling the word.

Unit of Inquiry
The students continued learning more about the season Fall and exploring with their 5 senses.  Today the students enjoyed exploring the outdoors with a class trip to the playground outside.  The students focused on using their 5 senses, exploring trees, leaves, pine cones, etc.  When we came back inside, we had a sharing circle and talked about all the things we observed that reminded us of Fall.  The students also worked on a Using My Senses During Fall writing activity.

Math
The SK's continued learning more about Patterns!  The SK's worked with partners on a cutting and pasting activity, they had to complete each picture pattern.
