Thankful Thursday!

We would like to wish Ibadat a Happy Birthday!  The students were excited to take a look at the seeds that we were growing in class, some observed that roots were beginning to peek out of the bean.  The students will be taking home their plants tomorrow.


Language
The students reviewed the formation and sound of the letter Dd.  The students practiced printing upper and lower case letter Dd and circled short Dd words with an activity sheet.  We enjoyed exploring a search and find game using Dd word picture cards.  Each of the students had the opportunity to find a card hidden in the classroom and practiced spelling the word.

Unit of Inquiry
The students reviewed their favourite foods and practice their sentence printing skills in their Journals.  The student had to write "My favourite food is______" and we brainstormed as a class and each student had to complete the sentence in their Journals.

Math
The SK's continued practicing their ordinal number counting and recognition, we were engaged with another order game and the students finished their activity packages.
