Magnificent Monday!

I am so proud of the summative presentations I have seen so far! Congratulations to our Principled winner for the month of June! I can't wait to see what the other students will present. We had a busy day today, we started our day listening to a few students share their experiences at the Maples track & field competition. Congratulations to all the participants and winners! The students did a great job being a great audience for the students who were presenting their summatives. We ended our day with some geometry math review and printing with the long vowel o and silent e.

Reminders:

-June 3rd-7th-Summative Presentations
-June 5th-Geometry Math test & Raptors Day (students may come to school dressed in Raptors gear)
-June 10th-House colour Day (students may come to school dressed in their house colours).

- Tuesday, June 11^th – Water Day for the SK's (apply sunscreen before coming to school, wear a bathing suit under your casual clothes, bring a towel and a hat). J

- Wednesday, June 12^th – Year-End Play Day @ the dome

- Friday, June 14^th –Promotion Ceremonies (9-11am at the dome)
-June 17th-Summer Camp begins!

Central Idea: Farms are providers of many of our daily nutritional needs.

Central Idea: A community’s members are responsible for working together, in order to establish a common purpose.

Lines of Inquiry:

· The people who make up our community.

· The role of community members.

· Into global communities.

How We Express Ourselves:

An inquiry into the ways in which we discover and express ideas, feelings, nature, culture, beliefs and values; the ways in which we reflect on, extend and enjoy our creativity; our appreciation of the aesthetic

Central Idea: We can express our feelings & emotions in many different ways throughout the year.

Lines of Inquiry:

· Why people experience different feelings.

· How our senses allow us to investigate our environment.

· Into Seasons.
