Hello SK parents!

We will be having Space Day tomorrow! Students may come in dressed in space attire or wearing clothing that is within the space theme.  We will also be having our space summative presentations tomorrow and on Thursday.

Inquiry into Language
We continued practicing the formation and sound of the blend sound ch.  The students worked on printing upper/lower case "ch" and short words that begin with the blend sound.  Here is the link to the Jolly Phonics song:ch song

Mlle. Hou taught the students winter themed vocabulary in French.  Her is the link to her website:

The SK's had a sharing circle about the planets that they will be presenting this week, each student had the opportunity to share something that they learned about their planet .  We also made a solar system crown, placing the planets in order from the sun.

Daily 5
The students were engaged in Literacy Centers, with books and puzzles.  We also enjoyed Reading buddies with the grade 4 students.

The students returned their library books and listened to a story from Ms. Hayward.

The SK's reviewed what they already learned about Subtraction and the strategies they learned.  The students worked with partners on an activity sheet.
